Something I’m realizing slowly is that Web3 tech makes admin and bureaucracy almost fun. It works the way you expect once you wrap your head around the idea that that’s actually a possibility.

There’s still jankiness and bugs, and possibility of much more serious and irreversible errors, but no sense of asymmetrically more powerful malevolent hostility working against you. Just natural laws of information theory and cryptography that’s up to your ingenuity to manage.

Web3 admin/bureaucracy is scary in the sense rock climbing is scary, not in the sense dealing with immigration officers is scary. More actual fatality risk, but you feel you’re being given as much of a fair deal as possible. Not “anything you say can and will be used against you”

Youre not a true bureaucrat unless you like torturing others a little bit and get a job that lets you do that with no consequences

Isn't Web3 just a sort of digital enclosure movement because capital has finally flown up its own asshole (declining rate of profit, etc) . . .
