Interesting that wordle has retained its audience despite it being a trivial game and many interesting variants appearing. The sharing/comparison network effect moat is really strong. Moral of the story: gamify the comparative bragging protocol, not the play mechanics.

Plus the one-a-day synchronization is great. Global consensus on what you're bragging about with your colored squares patch. So the variants that allow you to play as much as you like can't compete.

Also interesting that it doesn't *force* you to share *all* results, so you kinda instagram the <=4 highlights of your best days. Or you can make a little shtick out of moaning on the really bad days. I haven't decided which one I like doing more. I usually get it in 4 ofc 😎
