A conscious rejection of the norm of not showing vulnerability being used as a control mechanism of/by the bourgeoisie I guess 🤔
The conventional response to “are you okay?” is “I’m fine” … one of the strongest phatic speech patterns in English 🤔🤔

The thing that got me in India was the sideways head bobble. Nothing wrong with it, I just wasn’t used to it.
