Consistent with my robots-dominant view. In fact a story concept I’m working on involves AI identities that pipe into bodies like the matrix bots. But difference is, the container pwns the identities. Another good metaphor is Doc Ock’s intelligent arms pwning his brain.

Early version of the argument. It’s a long line of robotics/AI research, but not well known. See for eg older work of Leslie Kaelbling at MIT on situated computing. Modern version of Minsky vs McCarthy divide basically.
