If wordpress can write to Arweave or IPFS, it might be good enough. Not everything needs to be on the blockchain.

I don't think blogging needs to be on block chain, except maybe for archival purposes. But they'll have integrations for payments, authentication, and other services that make sense for block chain.

Web3 as currently constituted is so far away from mainstream adoptability it's kind of a non sequitur. It's an odd numbered web version. Only weirdos will ever use it.

Had the same question when Ghost came out. It’s been 8 years since, and nothing crazily for WP. At this point web3 is like a thin patina on top of a crusty web1(2). I doubt dominant pre-web3 tech will get disrupted in anything other than payments, assuming we survive gas & fraud.
