I find myself on the dog side here. There’re dumb predators on autopilot. Monkeys ought to know better than to start a cross species vendetta. But it’s scary how effective they are when they go to war. And we’re the nastiest member of that species corner.
In nature documentaries it is no accident that chimp troops at war are the scariest thing. More than lions, hippos, sharks… precisely because they clearly know what they’re doing and intending it. It’s more than instinct.
