Nice collection of mecha suit nfts by
As metaverse bets go I’d say this one is pretty solid given there sure to be a corner for mecha worlds.

Metaverse is to Web3 as driverless cars are to IoT. It’s not the only class of use cases but the biggest one that will shape evolution. Kinda no brained that there’s a market for objects to furnish virtual worlds that don’t yet exist.

Still processing this notion of ectogames

Just published on @outland_art, an essay I wrote about a new cultural form emerging in NFTs: ectogames. These include @lootproject, @blitmap, @poetslost and other @muratpak projects, @forgottenrunes and many more. What's an ectogame? Here's a thread... outland.art/blitmap-loot-e

There’s something missing though. A missing architectural element between nft-object-universes and metaverse in need of furnishings. Something like a game engine. Or world engine. Objects don’t automatically induce their own governing physics. Neither do spaces.

Metaverses tell NFTs how to move. NFTs tell metaverses how to curve.

The link between the two, the “moving” and “curving” parts, is the missing part. The physics. Token economies are part of the answer. They can fuel the physics. But feels like you need something more for physics to emerge.

Good stuff. I think what will happen is ectogames will need some partial structure to emerge. Like improv theater or raga music. We’ll need more than play elements. We’ll need partial playbooks. I have a candidate I’m personally developing.
