Hollywood thanksgiving parade. Not bad. Lots of famous movie cars and B-list stars. Highlights among latter were Danny Trejo and Patrick French (3rd Rock)

I like how Hollywood (the neighborhood) is so matter-of-fact about being tacky and kitschy. Zero pretense of being anything more than 100% pure tourist trap. Unlike New York, there’s no attempt to vaguely suggest depth of tradition to anything.

Seattle has a parade called Seafair that I used to enjoy, but this has 3x more cheery tackiness and much less ethnic/cultural representation stuff which I find dull.
