Big backlog of project-manager work looming š
Jevons paradox. The more you automate middle management work, the faster demand for it rises. I was naive to think software could eat middle management. It just blows up demand for meta-middle-management.

A bad middle manager is just a clueless person waiting to be automated (in a way thatās unreliable enough to blame for failures⦠so instead of āMichael Scott screwed upā you can say āThe ERP system screwed upā)
Good middle managers otoh are just unambitious live players. Rare.

Like an underemployed elite in a political system, middle managers who aren't kept busy easily find ways to destroy value through non-essential interventions?
