I guess a short-order cooking line is JIT-fat. Fat local inventory of inputs, flexible output. Normally you’d pull from a very responsive lean supply chain where only primary sources hold fat.

I waste a lot of breath trying to convince engineers not to use cron. Of all the things that you can use to trigger work, time of day is almost never the right one. (and if it is, midnight is never the right time!)
