I have a “monthly admin Monday” as a recurring self-appointment on my calendar. Today is that day 😕
Depressing that I have this, but very impressed with myself that I generally actually keep it, if only for a couple of hours

What do you think your ROI of doing the "uncluttinering/whatever word you want to use" is on productivity, levels of anxiety, etc are when you do the admin vs. not?
Did you reach a threshold that prompted you to make recurring appointment or just got to that point progressively?

Wrong way to think about it. It’s not an investment to optimize. It’s a risk of ruin. Critical admin things can completely screw up 100% of your life if you don’t stay on top of them. Land you in jail, kill you, trap you in a country etc.

Why do you find it depressing? That tools are not advanced enough that you still have to dedicate a day to do it manually?

It's not tools and they'll never be advanced enough. It's like friction. Almost a law of physics that if you're alive and functioning, there will be life friction. That's admin. Only real solution is to have trusted people who do it for you and enough money to pay them to do it
