I’d like to be an RV person but I don’t think I’d get along with the kind of person who typically becomes an RV person 🤔

My better half and I took an RV trip this summer. If there was a way that we could swing both of our jobs from the road (theirs requires a lot more in-person presence than mine), we’d probably be looking at buying an RV right now rather than a condo.

Recently bought an old RV. Old school RV people have saved me many times from various problems and were willing to spend some time teaching me stuff. Might surprise you to leave your bubble and see.

RV people seemed pretty laid back and helpful to me on our summer trip. And we were “those people” who rolled in after dark in the rented Cruise America.

Mercedes Sprinter vans are for alt rv people, They never have tribal tattoo stickers on them like the other rvs.

Some of my happiest memories are from the year I spent living out of an RV… bringing a bottle of wine to the next campsite over and spending the evening with people who turned out to run a winery… waking up under redwoods… traveling the CA coast… hosting dinners with friends.

You won’t, neither do I, but it doesn’t matter because you spend all your time hiking anyway

That observation generalises well for me I seem to be attracted to hobbies and interests that attract people I don't like.
