Is there a graph of global fab capacity by node? I’d guess log-normal with peak around 16-22 and tails out to 5 and 90? It’d be nice to see such a graph with annotation showing geography of supply and industries of demand.

Good read. Didn’t realize many auto chips are as far back as 90nm. The problem with gpu/phone chip supply is insufficient leading node capacity but problem with auto chips is insufficient trailing node capacity? And both ends are in Asia. Haven’t seen one like this but I’m sure it exists. But the peak I would guess is 28nm. Very likely the highest volume runner in Tsmc history
