Indian HR professionals please note: using generational labels is wrong even in the US (so totally useless in India.) And most of the things you do under the guise of engaging "millennials" are just patronizing.

Is all the hype that Gen X and Gen Y are different than prior generations nonsense? This 2020 National Academy of Sciences report suggest that it is, concluding that using generational concepts in management thinking “is not consistent with science.” nap.edu/catalog/25796/

I don't have a strong opinion on the quoted research about applicability to the US but I have problems with Indian HR importing it wholesale to India. Boomers makes no sense in India. As a result Gen X defined in terms of boomers doesn't either.

"millennials" maybe makes sense with a bit of a shift in years but the way it is applied is patronizing at the "Millennials can't read full sentences and only understand memes" level. (ie content doesn't matter as long as it's in mene format)
