The older I get, the more I start to appreciate aesthetics. From "doesn't matter" to "fundamental". But you might add a "do you consider yourself attractive y/n" towards this questions. It seems rather pointless if not painful to care about aesthetics, if you're not attractive.

Do you mean peoples general aesthetics interests for random things like architecture or fonts is related to their looks? Vaguely plausible hypothesis if so, though I know plenty of people with cultivated tastes in specific things who are ordinary looking or even ugly.

Used to be very important when I was doing graphic design, as I moved away from working as a designer, it feels more like a secondary consideration. Ugly things don’t bother me as much as it used to

Can I vote as an extreme pair? It is core because it reduces the insufficiency of it, but at the same time either an increase in sufficiency reduces the necessity, or increasing necessity actually cap sufficiency. Not sure the causality behind it.
