and curious to hear your reactions to this extension to your heroine/antiheroine theories I just posted. Aim was to incorporate cringe and Le Guin carrier-bag theory.

I found this fascinating and insightful, nonetheless I disagree with this large part of the thesis
but even here I do agree with halfway... I think I mainly object to the connotations of "meaningless," like isn't precisely all that stuff you said the meaning?

As in “Hyde” is the meaning of Jekyll’s shadow. Nothing that coherent is revealed by cringe. It’s like finding out your evil twin is a potato
okay I think I get it 🤔 sounds like I hit a semantic disconnect
