One thing I definitely underestimated was how much better I'd get at writing through this. I had to go back and rewrite earlier parts multiple times. Even now, my current writing is so much better than the middle that I now am going back and improving the quality throughout.

I explored working with a lite-touch publisher but decided against it as it seemed more geared to people that need help motivating to get the writing done and finding freelancers. Motivated by people like I decided to figure this out on my own.

I'm now working with a structural editor () and it has been helpful so far. If anything hearing "this is good!" is like a big relief to hear. Writing something like this behind closed doors feels a bit terrifying because you have no idea if anyone will care

Through writing I figured out that the people I needed to write only for the types of people that bought the pre-sale and that I've been connecting with for the past few years. I can't hold back, trying not to offend people on traditional paths or to get people to praise me

Working through the final two chapters - have a lot around creativity, finding the work that matters to you, playing the long game, leaning into freedom, etc.. Still don't feel like this is the right final chapter. I guess final chapters are a bit weird.

Taking a week off sabbatical next week and hoping to get the draft 99% finished. Things I still need to figure out - edit after structural edit - cover plans (99 designs?) - commit to launch date (scary) - share with 3-4 trusted readers and get feedback - copywriter -publish
