Have you recently bought or developed residential real-estate that is in any way idiosyncratic or unusual relative to keeping up with Joneses in your milieu? If so, what/where? And in what way is it unusual? Pictures appreciated. Looking for what imaginative new-money is doing

toured a house that was owned by a concrete engineer and the garage was 2x the size of the house with a crazy thick slab + car lifts + a gantry crane. it's the same price as the houses around it, but with a wild priority set that I absolutely adore

If you consider raw land as residential real-estate then yes. Developing communal style tiny houses on it rather than the estate houses everyone else is doing. Mansion comes later. Communal Mansion.

Single-storey bungalows (in the UK) Almost all UK housing is multi-storey, due to density. My thesis: 1) more elderly people will for health reasons need a single-floor home 2) said people are disproportionately wealthy 3) no-one else is doing this I may be crazy of course
