i have convos with people around their relationship with work and I think I get defensive on their behalf. I get a self-selective group that is quite frustrated.
but i also do talk to a lot of people crushing it in job mode - maybe i don't talk about that enough

I have no strong feelings myself. Increasingly I don’t think the distinction matters much. You pick the mode that suits your current goals.
