If you think about it, in ideational terms, we live in a world mapped out in Spanish and Portuguese, designed in German, crafted in English, measured in French, provisioned in Chinese, philosophically opposed in Arabic and Russian, and terminated in Japanese.

Jokes aside, serious point there… like Marx and Nietzsche did their thinking in German. The French argued about and figured out standardized measurements now French, etc. Our world looks default English now, but it didn’t get to current state in English.

The Germans invent everything the English refine and embellish it the Americans market and mass produce it the Japanese copy it and sell it more cheaply and the Canadians resent it and wish they had it
