CO2 can be used as a refrigerant with GWP=1 (most are like 10s to >150x CO2)
How much volume would you have to air condition/refrigerate for hvac itself to be a meaningful sequestration medium?
Though replacing HFCs etc would be the biggest effect ofc

Annual refrigerant consumption is ~10⁷ lb
Annual CO₂ emissions are ~7x10¹³ lb
If HVAC demand grew by a factor of a million while emissions remained constant, refrigerant demand would become meaningful.

Yes but I had looked up refrigerant demand recently:

Fixing USA's contribution to acid rain required installing 2 hydrotreaters at each of 150 refineries (300 units).
Fixing CFC's for the entire globe required modifying a total of 15,000 bpd refrigerant manufacturing.
100,000,000 bpd oil consumption is a 1,000x bigger challenge.
