Is contentedness learnable? Google turn up 90% Christian stuff, 10% other stuff like zen, minimalism etc. Nothing actually good. Didn’t find any studies of it as an innate or learnable trait. Asking for a friend (really... I’m pretty content myself but no clue how to teach it)

I wonder whether it is not about having “enough” experience, as in Rousseau: «The person who has lived the most is not the one with the most years but the one with the richest experiences. » That is, “enough” along a crash-driven life.

I see variations in my own contentedness across different time resolutions. I guess I might be relatively more chilled with lifetime peak performance/goals, but maybe less content daily. I think there might be something limit a Gabor limit in play.

That indicates it may be learnable. Personally I remember not being contented until I came to realize (after so many rich crashes) life needs not be seen as a race, even if lived like one. Mind locked into moving-target races literally leads nowhere.
