Recently old people (like ~60-65) don’t have a specific “old” look anymore. They look like slightly run-down young people.
Old used to be a specific personal aesthetic until recently. Distinct fashions, hairstyles etc. Now old people just do young looks, but poorly.

Kinda like aging rockstars but for normies.
Noticed it clearly with the Friends cast in the reunion show. They’re 52-58, but present like they’re in their 30s, just rundown.
When did “old” as a look get canceled? Middle-aged too.

we’re a culture without elders, so there are no benefits to looking or acting old. everyone pretends for as long as they can

Or is it too that old people also use to do previous young looks, but young looks started to diversify at some point and so now we have more diverse old looks?

When I was a kid, most of the men in their sixties that I knew wore suits around the house, even after retirement from their jobs or careers. Polo shirt and sport coat were reserved for outdoor summer activities.
