Fungible content access tokens you can sell that can be traded above par? Tokens have identity and history onchain but holders can be anon? More tokens issued periodically like bonds? Each token has “simple interest” coupon in uses per month till maturity?

As a consumer, I have mixed feelings about memberships versus purchasing content, pros and cons to both. I really like Audible's model which gives access to content with membership but also includes credits for content that can be kept even if the membership is canceled.

Ideamarket provides an income stream from risk-backed upvotes bought by your audience. Larger audience = more potential buyers, so creators can publish for free and get paid. I’d consider sponsoring you to guarantee some income and a spot as a social conversation piece... 🤔

When people buy upvotes, the money they spend sits in a smart contract and earns interest, which gets paid to you. So it’s like what you’re describing in OP above, only no paywall requirement. “Bitclout for smart people”

Either A) It’s unrelated, so you can still have paywalls via other means if you want, and it’s just add’l income or B) If you only have paywalls because there’s no other way to get paid, it’s another way to get paid. Paywall relief (truer in long run than right now)

Or C) It wouldn’t be hard to add a feature where Ideamarket tokens are used to unlock content, but I’d rather Ideamarket not become just another paywall, though it’s somewhat inevitable. Wrestling with this.

The goal is to reward that content focus — to basically pay people to listen better and seek out improvements to the prevailing signal. There may be 10 vgr listings across Twitter, Substack, etc. It’s only about you as a side effect, as a vessel. If I can improve somehow lmk
