2 years ago I launched my coaching practice. at least 2/3 of my clients are directly attributable to twitter (more than a few via in particular) and now there's word of mouth coming from the twitter people too

lately it's impossible not to notice all the Thread Guys and Hypefury etc. this is really not my style aesthetically, but it mattered less when there was not obviously so much money on the table 💸

idk what to do to hunker down on twitter in a slightly serious way. options: -do a big unfollow (which I've never done in 12 years) -pay attention to stats on here (I literally never look) -schedule tweets for downtimes? -tweet more about coachy stuff

in fact one of my core beliefs as a coach is that you should think really hard about your stuff in cycles (with help if necessary) but then you've gotta go do some things out in the world and life is mostly that latter thing

the thinking can help accelerate the cycle and get more from it, help you to test your own hypotheses better and integrate the learning. but in most cases it's actively pernicious to devote much continual attention to this stuff explicitly

I have considered that, except new baby brand accounts look sad. But maybe it's less pathetic looking/feeling when you've already got a legit business, as compared to when you're starting from scratch

I mean, my youngest brand account is 2y old, almost 5k, and I’ll be shutting it down with the project. No biggie. Brand accounts are just cost of doing business. Can be grown surprisingly fast.
