What’s percent of your income is return on risk as opposed to compensation for effort? I don’t mean in a tax sense of capital gains. I mean any part of your income that’s due to a risk you took with uncertain return that could have been 0. I think mine has been ~15-30%.

Meant what I said. Most people don’t touch the bulk of their net worth till retirement though, so income fraction is what actually shapes you. How much of monthly spending money is return on risk.

I think of that as basically 0. As a matter of fact, my income fraction is significantly lower because of risk. I make way less money than I would if I hadn't taken salary hits in return for equity.
