Thanos test: how you would choose 50% of the world to kill? Capitalism: bottom 50% Communism: top 50% Libertarianism: all-against-all. 50% left standing wins. Anarchism: random 50% Liberalism: debate till nature does the dirty work Conservatism: 50% who look least like you

Progressivism has the best trick. Do futile things and reproach people who indulge in the Thanos thought experiment while waiting for nature to do the dirty work. Then reproach them for letting it happen.

Pretty sure anarchists would want the most-powerful half to die (particularly, “power-over”) rather than a random half. This, based on pithy quotes about kings strangled with priest entrails and similar.

Those are orthogonal: all anarchists have plenty of beef with Stalin and Mao, whether they have a “syndicalist” or a “capitalist” after the hyphen. But like Christopher Schwartz would put the C suite of IKEA at the head of the line, even if they deserved their nonprofit status.
