The anti-Dreyfusard opinion always was that even arguing over whether Dreyfus was “objectively” guilty was part of the problem. To them, anyone who insisted on the existence of objective truths at odds the national interest (as they understood it) were undermining the nation.

What’s going on here? There’s some sort if revisionist denial thing around the Dreyfus affair?
Frenchmen of this sort are like the current Americans who are trying to pass laws criminalizing the defacing of confederate statues — they’re insisting that the rightwing views of the 1890s have always been correct & anyone who says otherwise is a woke-commie enemy of the state.
