Most people have no idea how much strain they’re under. Chronic strain is self-repressing. You don’t realize how hard you’re working to hold something together until some relief appears, or some reason to let go becomes available, and you can let go.

Then you’re like “shit I was supermanning that!” But the more often you let go and experience the relief the better you get at detecting hidden supermanning. And 80% of the time you can just let go immediately. Most supermanning is unnecessary and nobody needs you to do it.

can't live like Buddha. gotta have something to be nervous about. This body is decomposing anyway. Point is to have one thing to be nervous wreck about.

Yea I was gonna say there must be some consequence that explains why people aren’t doing it. There’s some relation to how/why people don’t throw away junk. You have to accept the emptiness of things, which is scary and unsettling for people
