It takes time to increase energy so if you work out 30min a day, plus 30 min recovery, your energy level in the remaining 17 waking hours needs to go up by at least 100*(18/17 - 1) = 5.88% to make it worthwhile. It’s a scam. Most patterns of working out don’t pay off 🤬

And this despite the fact that I took 10-25 lbs off all my exercises thinking that should be enough to ease back in. It wasn’t. For 8 months I only did some irregular light dumbbell stuff at home at like 30-40 lbs off barbell levels. Not enough for maintenance clearly.

I think High Intensity Resistance Training has a really good Energy ROI Doing 8 reps of really slow push-ups - 20 secs on, 10 secs off, works great for me. Only takes 4 mins
