This has been most visible on Twitter but is really a fundamental truth for any platform that has the potential to mint influencers (b/c clout and $$ drive it). Even newsletters are no longer immune. Newsletters discussing Clubhouses discussing Tweets discussing News(letters).
This is not saying any of these platforms are “bad”. But the infinite supply of memes and tweets that become grist for this dynamic means that the culture wars are both unending & atomized.
