yeah but also no. i dont think noise is cryptic at all — it’s actually noise and needs to be filtered out to find Quality Goods (which is what that screenshot is from, a kitchen sink faucet webpage)

Basically yeah, though I have a set of “tells” defining a superset of Pirsig that I feel safe tuning out, including taste/aesthetics bunnytrails. I feel I’ve seen all possible ways those movies end and there’s no surprises left there for me. 10 years is a serious estimate.

yeah but this has nothing to do with Pirsig. Pirsig’s Quality led me to the quantum mechanics stuff that you had me talk on two years ago. my definition of Quality is very different now, it has very different underpinnings
