You can’t really be offended by people you’ve simply decided not to deal with. Flipping a bozobit also seems to turn off any sensitivity you might have had.
But there’s a cost to it. Now you have a dehumanized other to contend with. It’s a sort of culture war technical debt. 🤔

I have people in my list with either godbit or bozobit, or both set (set = active). The far right has both bits set for me.

For me, "religion" is both unironic traditional religions, as well as things that look like unironic religions. Anything that can in principle be accommodated in a live-and-let-live pluralism is fine by me.

Are you worried that you will say something that will cause them to lose the faith that they've constructed so much of their life around?

lol no, I'm not *that* full of myself. I don't think sincerely religious people have faith so weak it can be harmed by casual shitposting by the likes of me. It's just not interesting talking to somebody with such a major premise being different.

I've actually tried having unbounded conversations with devoutly religious people.
They’re some of the funnest conversations I’ve had.
It’s just extremely difficult to convince them when you disagree, asthey tend to make presuppositions that I as an atheist disagree w/
