I can’t even read my own books in my iPad without apple sending them to the cloud so I have to go back and download them from the cloud EVERYTIME and waste my time. If I’m in the park and don’t have internet I don’t have books. If I want my books in my iPad I have to erase them

Today, right when I need to print a crapton of docs, Apple has decided that my printer is too old and now refuses to use it. Apparently they revoked the cert of a ton of old HP drivers. It's a perfectly good printer. Old, but good.

except it's like they can't get to the car itself, so they use control of a network of gas stations to make it impossible for you to buy gas... it's new territory... platform-scale credit that's kinda like a implicit currency backed by over-powered debt collection mechanisms

He loves Apple when they're solving his problems and freaks out when they consider him a problem to be solved. Like, that's how Apple works. Nothing changed. They're being consistent.

I do like "respect the natural boundaries that exist between platforms and services". Do tell us more of these natural boundaries, and how they are the same or differ from previous "natural boundaries" (races, genders, sexual relationships) we've been told about...
