What features/frameworks does a self-proclaimed "artist" possess? The only examples that come to mind are bad writers, bad illustrators, and bad musicians.

The (self-claimed) label is one of the unconsciously incompetent ime. The consciously incompetent wouldn't dare, the consciously competent suffer from impostor syndrome, and the unconsciously competent don't find identity in their work because it didn't take effort.
