I have at least 1 day a week where I lay around doing absolutely nothing and enjoy it. Actual downtime. This didn’t used to be the case. At one point downtime meant “active alternative activity.” Does need some good TV to work. Right now I’m out of good shows.

Not current show but I've been really enjoying _Lucifer_ over past year. Funny, clever, light, wise, puts me in good mood, I watch it when I need that. I like scifi and have been making my way through _Expanse_ but though it is well done, overly dystopic shows sour my mood.

I meant Lucifer which is primarily wife’s show I also watch. I binged Expanse mostly on my own. It’s not really dystopian though is it? Just gritty.

Hmm I think that it is dystopian (I also see that they are going for a gritty techno noir feel), but it's the bleakness I feel when I watch it that brings my mood down. _Battlestar Galactica_ and _B5_ were also gritty but I loved those shows, felt energized and inspired by them.

So I have to update view on The Expanse. I <3 it! Took me about 3 months to watch S1 because it was mostly dystopian/bleak and I didn't understand why people like it so much. I gave it another chance, finished S1/ S2 this week, now binging S3. Love characters, story, production.
