This is probably the most interesting idea I've had this year so far, and calibrating against my typical idea quality, is probably going to be in the top 2-3 ideas I have this year 🤔 Just not sure what to do with it.

The aha! idea is that this Maslow-based idea of somebody being "there" at a given level of integrity of self to be helped actually generalizes quite a bit, and is not dependent on a Maslow-ish hierarchical view of self. twitter.com/vgr/status/135

Post a zoom link for 15 people to join and jam it out. Not on Clubhouse tho, please. First though - Maslow's H was never a triangle, originally. So we start by changing how it was represented and then add your context / observation which will lead us to a guiding question?

i'm still not sure I quite get what you mean tho the words make sense. like yea i do think I'm sort of spiritually/psychologically homeless in some respects, and the ugly messes (as opposed to the good messes, which do also exist) are sorta testament to that. but then what 🤔

Maybe related? 1. What level/type of (dis)order are you looking at when you look at some(thing/one)? 2. What orders are prereqs for higher-order orders? 3. Maybe no one "gives" higher ordering to anyone, we just help create prereq conditions and see what happens.

I don't think I understand yet what you were getting at, but I think of it as more Maslow's smorgasbord than Maslow's hierarchy or pyramid. An individual at a point in time can have issues with any of them. They don't seem like ordered levels to me.
