There are people who are living legends, and who know they are living legends.
And they mostly seem to have no problem unleashing anger, or doing things to drive people away.
There’s something here I don’t understand.

Maybe because most people are a waste of attention and their adulation adds zero meaningful value to your life or anything you’re trying to do? Doing almost anything worthwhile means driving a fraction of people away.

I think the bleed-over effect (on other people who would be helpful) must be much less than I instinctively assume.

Unless they’re paying you or voting for you based on liking you, 99% of people can be safely ignored and the 1% tend to identify themselves by being interesting to you
