Ok so i wasn't even actually gonna write about this but usually writieing on twitter helps and this hit me like a ton of bricks so let's talk about RATIONALIST DECONVERSION
Conversation
I choose my words carefully. Why did it hit like a ton of bricks? Because I've been called 'prince of the post-rats' but only today i seem to have acquired something fucking VGR tags as necessary for being a post-rat

Now, the post-rat label is fake and gay, we all know that, BUT - rival works as personality R&D for me - hahaha, wouldn't it be funny if i were a post-rat

It's future pacing as they say in persuasion, painting a clear picture of the future so that you can actually move there. Phenomenologists also talk about this.

Anyways i think there is A LOT to rationality. A full analysis would have to use Zero's framework, but I can't be arsed

The fundamental view of ratism is that you are an AGENT with GOALS and MEANS to meet your GOALS.

Man you’re making the rat mistake of confusing the explicit for the true lol. I said DEEP and FUNDAMENTAL and thus TRANSPARENT. Metaphysical commitments rarely are explicitly talked about lol

Just... thought you may be CURIOUS about how RATIONALISTS are thinking about the same problem you're talking about since they NOTICED it in, like, 2012. And since, you know, they're more familiar with the VARIETY of ways it shows up or doesn't in different people.
