Yesterday @vgr posted a picture of pavement with some distress. I've seen my share of pavement in my life, tbh more asphaltic concrete than hydraulic concrete, but enough of both to trust my ability as a pavement evaluator.

lol, fwiw I didn't believe you... I trusted the wisdom of the crowds lightning explanation even though you sounded pretty confident :D not that I have any way of confirming... someone else suggested a downed power line which is more likely than lightning in that area
Downed power line would be same nature of disturbance, so pretty similar phenomenon -
