visa is decluttering old drafts @visakanvIn some ways I feel like I’m in a moshpit, with surging waves of humans, being swept up by the current of the crowd. I’ve been in these IRL. Trying to “stand your ground” can mean getting trampled. I feel like I’m glancing over the waves trying to make eye contact with my friends pic.twitter.com/9DwBLaxApHShow this thread1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

A tall guy like you should know.... if you don’t flow with the crowd, good chance they’ll be the ones who get trampled, not you

this is a digression but -IME height isn’t actually an advantage in these crowd swells. You get the benefit of being able to see better, but the real action is happening at feet & body level, and it’s prob better to have a lower center of gravity. Once you loose footing it’s over

I have been in a few crowd swells and it's genuinely one of the more terrifying moments of my life. You suddenly 'feel' the raw energy in all those people and realise how little it would take for it to end you.
