They just had Lin Manuel Miranda recite a Seamus Heaney poem that’s apparently Biden’s favorite. I really can’t imagine Trump having a favorite poem, but I can imagine every past President having one.

Poetry is (or can be) probably the the least egoistic medium. Speaking of which, I didn’t really like the poem this morning.

I was way too shell-shocked and nervy to appreciate it at all, waiting for the double entry accounting to catch up with the shoefall shortfall. My reaction was "uh-uh, you ain't going to trick me into feeling anything by flipping some words around."
