Who holds that record? Many nations have had more diverse cabinets by gender or religion, but by race/ethnicity this seems up there.

Only saying that history is global. So it should be “in US history”. Everything else is jingoism.

I suspect Christina is satirizing this cabinet as possibly the *least* diverse since its all the same old establishment types who’ve been running things since Bill Clinton, with no representation for Bernie crowd. The apparent diversity is low significance by some measures.
