how come some writers are more bingeable than others, besides the most obvious factor of writing many things set in the same universe often with same lead characters?

I don’t know. But I do know that I want a list of all such authors, Eg Gibson. Neal Stephenson maybe, too.
Heh neither is on my list. I've only read 1 Gibson (Neuromancer), and 2 Stephenson (Cryptonomicon and Diamond Age, and that was painful) For me, Pratchett, Banks, Asimov, Douglas Adams...Christie,

Herp derp. Where are the culture ships from again? I thought Gibson. And FWIW, I read Stephenson in teenage years so dunno if it would hold up. NK Jemisin may be that for me. Read Broken Earth series twice. Haven’t tried other stuff. Agree on Asimov.
