nah... roller bearings weren't invented till pretty late in the game. Basic sleeve bearings and even just rollers with no axles were likely used for millennia first.

I've always wanted to pin down the history of roller bearings/ball bearings but never found a good survey.
Uncaged roller bearings came first. People put logs under heavy things and the logs rolled when the heavy thing was pushed. Pick the log up and move it to the front when it pops out.
