I haven’t heard the term “mechatronics” in a while. It was the premium mediocre engineering major back in the early 90s. Now I guess it’s just routine skills you’re expected to have. Absorbed into mechanical.

I remember back in the 80s thinking the same thing about the systems engineering students. Their primary function seemed to be dressing in black and smoking foreign cigarettes.
