Nah. That would be true if the grievances were more real, like starving peasants. Ultimately most of these people lack the incentives for anything more than cheap signaling.

were it not for the religion-like quality of kyoo-annon, I would agree, but it's absolutely not mere LARPing for a subgroup that is willing and able to act. Growing numbers in that subgroup increase the risk, but... to your point... it's unclear by how much.
