      I often see drones and think: "those are cool! I want one!" And then a bit later think: "but... would I ever use it?" People who have drones and love them, what makes them work? Frequent outdoor adventures to new locations?

      I'd much rather have a ground rover, which is why I'm building one... drones are only cool if you get several dozen formation flying and doing cool shows or running search-and-rescue patterns

      Umm it’s just cheap $200 quadrotors like they use for shows. Many univs gave research programs using them and there’s several commercial models. Buy a couple of these and program them to fly in formation.https://www.amazon.com/Robolink-CoDrone-Pro-Programmable-Educational/dp/B01K3VCN64 …
