But this time? I see no trace of any thin margin anywhere. Or better: No US court / republican leaning judge saw evidence of a relevant number of false votes. Trump is just filling his war chest/private pockets at the moment.

There's no need to figure. There's been a long running campaign in the US to make election day a holiday, and it has been resisted by the Republican party precisely because it makes voting easier for people they don't want it to be easier for.

Why not move it to a day very many people have the day off anyways? (I.e. Sunday) Others can vote by mail or in absentia?

yeah, that's also been proposed and shot down etc. The specific mechanism of making it easier doesn't matter. There's plenty of ideas. The point is some don't want to make it easier.
