one reason may be that polling stations were further away and public transport is terrible, and poor people are not sold cars, they have to pay more than a car payment amount every month to commute. An overwhelming number of my uber passengers were from poor neighborhoods

The fundamental problem with US elections is that a civil war was fought over whose vote should count and it was never really resolved since. There is no concensus on what a fair election is, so no election can be fairly won. Sometimes the national guard gets called in.
